SUSTAINABILITY

OUR BRAND

Sustainability is sexy, and a girl who loves the Earth… Whew! Is it getting hot in here?
We exist because a cute lil’ water-play outfit should not harm nor cost the Earth.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to creating beautiful pieces made to honor, sustain and celebrate the people, places and life we love. Our mission is to inspire, influence and empower women to become conscious consumers, and to leave the world a little better and brighter than we found it.

Our Practices

Through our travels and research, we formed a close working relationship with a small women-owned manufacturing studio in South America.

Our team adheres to strict and specific ethical business practices, ensuring that our workers are not only taken care of, but also respected and appreciated. We feel fortunate to have the support of our incredible production team, as well as a manufacturer who truly understands the importance of ethical and sustainable practices.

We are incredibly proud of our label; the jobs we create, the sustainable practices we follow (right down to the smallest details!), and the charitable work we do around the world with One Tree Planted. We are dedicated to continually improving our business practices and are committed to building our brand in the most environmentally conscious and ethically responsible ways possible.

Our Fabric

Kasa Swim pioneered the use of a revolutionary fabric that is not only peta-approved and vegan, but it is also produced with biodegradable nylon, a Brazillian technology, and the first in the world!

We are part of a fashion revolution, changing the way swimwear is produced, and creating a new wave of vegan-sustainable fabrics, which look and feel amazing, are good for the planet and designed to last.

All of our pieces in the debut collection are handmade and 100% recyclable and biodegradable.

Our Policies

Our manufacturing process uses recycled water and C02 control, ensuring that we are contributing to the sustainable maintenance of the environment for future generations.

We use only premium cruelty-free high quality textiles with no animal origin.

We refuse to contribute to wasted fabrics, and due to our zero-waste policies, all leftover fabrics are turned into beds for animals and donated to local shelters in South America. Additionally, a portion of proceeds from each piece sold is donated to South American animal shelters and environmental non-profits.

The Afterlife

Although we truly believe that you will love and wear your kini for plenty of sun drenched years to come, the enhanced polyamide 6.6 formula in this collection means that when you're ready to lay your suit to rest (aka recycle it!), landfill conditions permit bacteria to access the biodegradable nylon and digest the waste materials, accelerating the back-to-earth process.

Unlike typical swimwear that can take up to 200 years to fully biodegrade, our suits will begin to break down within the first year of being in the landfill, and within 3 years, your suit will fully return back to Mother Earth, truly leaving no trace
